ABOUT OLIVIA AHLIN FURUKORI
Hi there! My name is Olivia and I’m a 23-year-old with Swedish and Japanese roots. Growing up in a multicultural household, I developed an early curiosity for understanding and bridging different social realities. Questions like, “What underlying structures determine our environment?” or “Whose voice often goes unheard?”, have guided my exploration of the shapes and dynamics of the world around me. I firmly believe in person-centered, grassroots approaches and view people’s stories as rich sources for understanding (different) social realities and finding creative solutions. My academic and professional journey has helped define and fueled my passion for matters concerning trajectories of displacement, global health disparities and inequalities, and interdisciplinary research.
