ABOUT OLIVIA ELIA QUISPE

To close the racial wealth gap, private capital has to be part of the solution because it sits at the center of wealth creation in our country.” -Margaret Anadu Olivia Elia Quispe is a senior at Brown University studying International Affairs with a focus on leveraging private capital markets to address systemic wealth disparities. As a Portfolio Management Intern at Angeles Investors and President of Latines in Business, she examines the intersection of institutional capital allocation and intergenerational wealth creation within underserved communities. Beginning her journey at Brown with the aim of entering the entertainment industry as a screenwriter, Olivia initially pursued creative storytelling as a vehicle for diverse representation in media. Her trajectory shifted upon recognizing the transformative impact that capital markets and strategic investment can have on economic outcomes for underrepresented populations. Most recently, she completed a summer internship at SoLo Funds, a Series B fintech platform enabling peer-to-peer lending for credit-constrained borrowers, where she contributed to growth initiatives aimed at expanding financial access. Her current academic and professional focus centers on understanding how private market strategies—including venture capital, private equity, and structured credit—can catalyze entrepreneurship and economic mobility in historically underbanked communities. Olivia is pursuing opportunities in Investment Banking to build technical expertise in financial modeling, capital structure, and M&A advisory, with the long-term objective of deploying capital toward equity-focused investment strategies and closing the racial wealth gap through institutional finance.
