ABOUT OLAVO HARTVELD CUNHA

25 years of extensive experience around the globe as executive, management consultant, investor and entrepreneur in companies like Unilever, BCG, BRF and Patria. Over this period, worked with leading local and global companies advising some of the most influential and regarded business leaders in Brazil. Developed capabilities in general management, strategy, investment, marketing & sales, M&A and organization. In consulting, lead more than 200 assignments in LatAm, Europe and US, with a particular focus in Consumer (Products & Retail). Along this journey, joined three multi-year transformations, driving end-to-end turn-arounds of multi-billion dollar companies. In BCG Brazil, created from zero the Consumer Practice, turning it into one of the largest industry practices in the country. Also, as leader of the Marketing & Sales Practice, developed and published reports on cross-industry consumer behavior and trends. At BRF, was Global VP and regional CEO for Africa, setting up the basis for a B2C businsess in the continent. At Patria, is responsible for investments and portfolio management in consumer, with investments in 34 new thesis with capital alocation of USD 1.5 billion. Olavo graduated Cum Laude as Chemical Engineer (UFRJ) with master degree at Coppead completed at The Wharton School. Fluent in Portuguese, English, French and Spanish.
