Remember that feeling you had as kids, that there is something very special about you, and someday the world is going to find out about it? Well? Still waiting, ah? Take your time, no need to rush. I recently asked my grandma, who’d just turned 80, if there is something she regrets looking back at her life. She thought for a while, then looked at me and said: “who are you?” I’m Odelia. Comedian, journalist and television formats developer, and I invite you to a funny and exciting show, that will make you understand the right questions you should be asking. Not why you’re here, but what you came to give. Not what is that thing I excel at, but what I came to learn and teach, and where did I get that stunning dress? We were all born with a gift unique to us, which we should pass on. A talent or an ability, that most of us are afraid or have no idea how to actualize. So we sign up to spiritual workshops, hoping we can learn to open our hearts, but end up just opening our wallets (or other body parts). In a one-hour stand-up show, I tell my personal story. No, I haven’t conquered mount Everest yet, or found god, and I didn’t get to meet any aliens. But I did dare to dream big, and then got a chance to realize that dream. A chance that blew up in my face. This is a show about the coming and going of a contract, about the ability to let go of dreams we became slaves to, and about a crisis that revealed the biggest gift of my life. This is a show that will teach you to follow the signs, to recognize messengers in ordinary people, and to find opportunities. Sometimes an hour can change a whole life. The Gift.
