20+ years experience on a management position in transnational companies, profound knowledge in operations, especially in the converting and manufacture paper industry, packaging and graphic arts. My main interest is to have a positive impact in the profitability of the company by reducing all kind of waste through the value chain supported by the implementation of a lean manufacture culture. In charge of its operational cost efficiency, lean deployment, core tools, six sigma and lean deployment, training and safety. The mill had achieved a variable and fixed cost reduction of 35%, 78% improvement in gross margin, 70% reduction in credit notes, waste reduction of 45%, improvement in yield from 82% to 93% actual. Reached 1500 days without accidents. Reports to Corporative office in Massachusetts USA. In Smurfit I was responsible of the financial results and the operations of a plant with over US$ 42 million in sales per year of paperboard boxes for the industrial activity. Attained 26% more of the EBDITA estimation for the year 2004 and 43% more than 2003 estimation. Achieved the plant certification. Achieved the 2001 safety award.
