ABOUT NIGEL SMITH

Widely experienced, highly motivated quantity surveyor and commercial leader with over 40 years working for both client and contractor organisations within the engineering and construction industry. MCIArb and MCIOB qualified with proven leadership and communication skills, a forward thinking approach and ability to operate effectively on my own or within a team environment. I have gained significant experience in the development and implementation of different contract models and have particular expertise in pre-contract negotiation, post contract administration and dispute management. I consider myself to be a hardworking, tenacious and loyal individual who does not shy away from taking ownership of a problem or providing leadership where it is required.I currently hold the position of Commercial Director in UK Operations and the Process and Energy Businesses at Wood and have commercial responsibility for >£600M / year turnover, reporting directly to the Senior Vice President.
