ABOUT NICOLE ANDRESCAVAGE
My practice focuses on maritime/admiralty law, insurance coverage work, insurance and general liability (commercial, professional, etc.), employment, construction, and workers\' compensation defense. I handle both pre-suit matters and those in litigation. Rhode Island Lawyers Weekly selected me as one of the Lawyers of the Year for 2025.In addition to my law degree, I hold a Master of Environmental Science and Management (M.E.S.M.) degree focused on policy and management of coastal and ocean resources. I was a two-time Rhode Island Sea Grant Fellow, during grad school and law school. I have a multitude of experiences in marine and coastal governance, vessel registration and merchant mariner credentialing, sanctions compliance, international instrument compliance, marine insurance, liens, maritime education, Jones Act, both pre-litigation and in litigation. I have hands-on experience representing maritime industry interests in a variety of settings. If nothing else, I enjoy having a diverse, multi-disciplinary approach. I thrive in team atmospheres, and find nothing more fulfilling than true, equal collaboration. As a lifelong athlete, I have quite a bit of fun playing in indoor and outdoor soccer leagues when I am not busy at my c. 1780 farmhouse. I also enjoy gardening, being on the water, golfing, and/or skiing whenever time allows, as well as the occasional pick-up pond hockey game.
