I started off my career as a teacher, but it didn’t feel like something that would be sustainable for me until retirement. So, living in Texas, I easily moved on to industrial sales. I quickly realized that I had gone from crawling around the floor with kids, to crawling around steam plants with bugs and alligators. After a few changes, I eventually landed in accounting where the only scary thing is numbers. I was comfortable here, but I knew I wanted more for myself and my family.So, I took my interest in real estate, combined it with my past experiences, along with my passion to learn and entered the wonderful world of Multifamily Syndication with my husband Jeff. I’m commonly asked what I would recommend to new investors or busy professionals that would like to move away from Wall Street and begin investing in real estate. My answer is always the same, and an emphatic one, “start passively investing in multifamily real estate. Passive investing in multifamily real estate allows individuals to diversify their portfolios with much less risk involved. Through passive investing, busy professionals have the opportunity to earn lucrative returns that are recession-resistant, save on taxes, reach financial freedom and create a legacy asset that can be passed on - all without the headache of being a landlord.
