ABOUT NICOLAS HELDMANN

Nicolas Heldmann, is the Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sourcing & Procurement at OpenText Corporation, The Information Company; Canada’s largest software company. His zeal for operational excellence and strategic mindset has transformed the global Order to Cash, Source to Pay, Real Estate & Facilities, Financial Planning & Analysis and Finance Program Management Office groups to enable organic growth. He leverages technology to unlock valuable transactional insights with tangible financial impact.Nicolas joined OpenText in 1996 and has held numerous leadership positions in Finance including Revenue Recognition, Deal Desk, M&A integration, Finance Reengineering and Accounting Services including Payroll, Variable Compensation, Billing, Collections, Sourcing, Procurement, Accounts Payable. He has also lead operational teams in Sales Operations, Pricing and Product Release Management, Facilities & Real Estate as well as the Program Management Office responsible for Corporate Performance Management, Government Relations working closely with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team on strategic initiatives.During his tenure, he has contributed to OpenText’s illustrious growth and accretive acquisitions, participating in the transition from fledgling Document Management company to the global leader in Enterprise Information Management offering the only comprehensive solution for all the information within an organization. He has lead companywide initiatives to set policy, integrate acquisitions, implement ERP and corporate systems, form and lead highly responsive back office support organizations that transform the Finance function as enablers of growth.Nicolas has also served as co-site leader for the OpenText Waterloo Head Quarters co-coordinating several office wide charity campaign drives with community organizations such as the Habitat for Humanity Waterloo Region and The Food Bank of Waterloo Region.He holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University as well as a Chartered Professional Accountant, CMA designation.
