About Nick Shapiro

Founder and CEO, Nick Shapiro has more than 20 years of crisis management, national security and strategic communications experience in the White House, at the CIA and in the private sector. Shapiro served as the CIA\'s Deputy Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor to the CIA Director. Prior to that role, Shapiro served in the White House as a National Security Spokesperson for President Obama.​While in the federal government, Shapiro helped lead the Obama Administration\'s response to the H1N1 Pandemic, the Sandy Hook Elementary School Shooting, the Gulf Oil Spill, the Christmas Day \"Underwear Bomber\" Terrorist Attack, the Boston Marathon Bombing, the Japan Earthquake, Tsunami and Fukushima Nuclear Disaster, as well as numerous other cyber attacks, data breaches, and natural disasters. After leaving the U.S. Government in 2015, Shapiro became the Global Head of Crisis Management for Airbnb. ​In 2019, Shapiro launched 10th Avenue Consulting LLC which provides confidential strategic counsel to corporate, private sector, nonprofit and celebrity clients facing complex and challenging problems.Nick Shapiro is a Board Member of the international disaster and humanitarian relief organization All Hands And Hearts and is an Adjunct Professor of Crisis Management at Tulane University.Personal Note: It has been the honor of my life to serve in the CIA.
