   Assists the Chief Risk Officer in the development and implementation of ALLETE’s risk management program. Sets performance goals and supervises the Risk Department staff that support the market, credit, Enterprise Risk Management and insurance functions of the Company. Maintains close working relationship with risk owners across the organization; leading the risk assessment process, assisting in the development of risk mitigation strategies, and summarizing residual risks for reporting to senior management and the Board. Trains Risk Department staff and risk owners in standard risk management processes and procedures. Manages all aspects of ALLETE’s insurance program for all business units. Leads due diligence and business integration efforts on behalf of the Risk Department. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required to establish and maintain working relationships.
