I lead CARE International\'s Emergency WASH Team and have responsibility for delivering timely and high-quality support to large WASH programs in 20+ countries. I manage 4 team members and have an oversight / influencing role over national WASH staff and external consultants.Key Achievements# Developed CARE’s Gender and WASH approach, including tools, training resources and quality assurance, and secured 7+ years of funding for a technical post in this specialism.# Key player in CARE’s global response to COVID19, bringing an additional 3 staff into my team, and fostering collaboration with other program and management units to support field teams.# Designed systematic integration between WASH and health teams, generating new funding from CDC and achieving rapid and effective response to challenging disasters such as Ebola in DRC.# As CARE’s representative, I engage proactively with the Global WASH Cluster (including as a Strategic Advisory Group member for 4 years); the Interagency WASH Group; the WASH Sector Roadmap Executive Steering Group; and the Humanitarian Innovation Fund WASH Technical Working Group.

Humanitarian leader and WASH specialist with 25 years work experience, including 20 years of international development and emergency relief, working with INGOs, the UN, the private sector, local NGOs, and in consultancy.I am a well-respected, adaptable, and reliable interlocutor, with proven skills in strategic planning, team building and re-structuring, program coordination, and interagency collaboration.Within WASH my professional interests include community mobilization, solid waste management, and urban disasters; more broadly I am passionate about the mainstreaming of gender and vulnerability into technical programs and about the opportunities for impact from new partnerships.Away from humanitarian work I enjoy running and spending time in the mountains. I am a UK Athletics Coach in Running Fitness, a Leader for Off-Road, Trail, Fell and Mountain Running, and a qualified Summer Mountain Leader.
