Working as a Senior Engineer Linux to support the infrastructure also lead the offshore team for the South Star Client (Mettel).• Design and architect complex Linux infrastructure and system automation strategies.For Linux, CentOS, Ubuntu, Amazon Linux, and Debian.• Provide escalation support for L3/L4-level incidents – kernel panics, disk failures, performance tuning, etc.• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and permanent fixes for recurring issues.• Analyze CPU and memory bottlenecks using top, htop, vmstat, mpstat, and /proc.• Diagnoses and resolved high system load and context switching issues.• Implement and manage High Availability (HA) and DR solutions.• Rebuild and managed custom initramfs and GRUB configurations for recovery.• Resolve LVM and multipath storage issues including disk resizing and UUID conflicts.• Performs XFS and ext4 filesystem repair (xfs_repair, fsck).• Mitigates CVEs by applying kernel and package updates via dnf, yum, and patch.• Diagnoses complex network routing and DNS issues using tcpdump, wireshark, ss, and nmap.• Integrate Linux server management into CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, or Ansible Tower.• Developed custom Bash/Python tools for patch status verification and report generation.• Deployed and integrated Grafana with Prometheus for data visualization.• Optimize OS provisioning using PXE boot, Kickstart, or pre-built cloud images (AMI/VMDK) Taking care of application deployments.• VMware infrastructure upgrade, patch, along with VeloCloud appliances.• Experience designing and building web environments on AWS, which includes working with services like EC2, ECS, RDS, and S3.• Experience using DevOps tools in a cloud environment, such as Ansible, Artifactory, Docker, GitHub, Jenkins, and Kubernetes.• Participate in change advisory board (CAB) meetings and approve production changes.• Lead and mentor L1/L2/L3 support engineers, providing training and knowledge transfer.
