About Natashya Falcone
I am a dedicated biomedical researcher and junior faculty member with expertise in biomaterials, cancer immunotherapies, drug delivery, and disease modeling. My background spans interdisciplinary fields such as chemical engineering, immunology, and pharmacology, allowing me to innovate in the development of hydrogel biomaterials and immunotherapeutic agents.At the Terasaki Institute for Biomedical Innovation, I lead a research group focused on developing novel solutions for some of today’s most challenging biomedical problems. My research contributes to advancements in cancer immunotherapy, drug delivery, and tissue engineering, with a particular emphasis on shear-thinning hydrogels, immuno-modulating materials, and 3D cancer models.I am passionate about pushing the boundaries of biomedical science, mentoring the next generation of scientists, and translating laboratory innovations into real-world therapies. I have published over 30 peer-reviewed articles and have been recognized with multiple awards.
