As Senior Manager – Tourism & Commercial Events at Auckland Museum, I lead the growth of the Museum’s commercial venue hire and B2B tourism portfolios, driving revenue, venue utilisation, and exceptional customer experiences. I develop and implement commercial strategies, business plans, and marketing initiatives aligned with the Museum’s brand and strategic goals, while identifying new business opportunities and fostering strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and industry partners. I provide leadership and mentorship to the Tourism and Events team, ensuring high performance and a results-focused culture, and oversee operational excellence across event delivery, supplier management, and venue optimisation. Collaborating across Museum directorates, I help create integrated visitor experiences while monitoring performance and financial outcomes to ensure sustainable, profitable growth.
