About Natalie Souther

After Georgia Tech, I began my career in healthcare consulting, but I’m far from your average consultant. After two years, I took a step away from the industry to earn my bachelor’s in nursing and spent five years working as a critical care nurse and then post-anesthesia nurse. This may seem odd to you, and you may ask why I gave up my engineering degree and budding consulting career to pursue nursing. I would tell you that I felt strongly that a robust foundation of clinical experience was necessary for any sort of future impact I would have in the healthcare industry. I would also tell you that nursing was, by far, the most challenging job I\'ve ever done. It built my character and taught me more about people than I ever could’ve expected. But I never intended it to be a permanent switch. So that bring us to today. In March 2023, I took a step away from the bedside and accepted a healthcare operations consulting position with Guidehouse. I am also finishing a master\'s in Health Economics, Policy and Management at the London School of Economics which will be finalized in June 2024. I’m so excited about these changes and can’t wait for this next phase of my career!
