Wine professional and a Dutch lady, but Mediterranean at heart. Based in Spain since 2016. In the years before that, I worked and traveled across the globe. A lifelong wine journey started at just nineteen after a sip of. Determined and curious. My insatiable passion for gastronomy has been there since I was a little girl and has evolved into so much more.Currently the Senior Wine Expert for Iberia at Catawiki’s auctions, Europe’s biggest online curated marketplace. Where tech and commerce blend into wine. I\'m leveraging my extensive expertise in Spanish and Portuguese wines, 15 years of international experience, and DipWSET®4 candidacy to curate exceptional auctions. As well as running my own growing company: Wierda Wine Company S.L.(NanterPanter Wine)Before settling in Spain, I gained valuable work experience in Australia, the UK, China, and The Netherlands. Hard work and learning in various roles in hospitality, viticulture, top wineries, export, and gastronomic tourism, I eventually set up my own company to effectively contribute. Multilingual, with a very curious mindset, cultural sensitivity, and a passion for bringing my clients and guests the best.As both a business owner and auctioneer, I connect various corners of the industry. I strive to make the world of wine more exciting, less intimidating, and more accessible to everyone, bringing quality and unforgettable experiences and products to my clients with an eye for detail.I share more than just wine.
