I am described, as an ambitious and honest Business Development Manager with extensive Global Trade experience. And this combines main three business passions: creating solutions to client issues, international supply chain and learning how various businesses operate to help create efficiencies.You know, I began my career in back home in Azerbaijan, where in 2010 I joined a local financial institution, and this fueled my passion for the finance industry, In 2014, I joined an International Financial Institution, which provided me the ability to further grow and develop my career.Like most professionals, I started from the basics as Bank Teller and 7 years later was the Head of Corporate Banking and an active member for both the Credit & Risk Management Committees. Then, I moved to Canada in 2018 and began my journey here from a blank slate. What contributed to my success was my ability to build relationships and learn how businesses work in Canada, truly an exciting time! As Assistant Vice President & Senior Business Development Manager, I more than doubled the profitability of my portfolio in 3 years. Now I have started a new journey, as a Commercial Account Director for Export Development Canada, truly a unique organization that does so much for Canadian businesses. I have faced adversity, throughout my career which contributed to the leader I am today. The achievements I am most proud of today are the relationships I have built with clients and colleagues alike, successfully building and leading diverse teams from various cultural backgrounds and supporting start-ups and growing businesses that have gone on to be very successful.My biggest achievement in life will always be creating a family, while developing my career.
