ABOUT MOHIT GANERIWALA

Mohit has over 20 years of professional experience and is currently working as a Senior Operations Ocer in International Finance Corporation (IFC), World Bank Group. Mohit is based out of the New Delhi oce and is part of the Upstream Team in Infrastructure and Natural Resources (INR) division. Mohit has been working in this role for over four years and is focusing on cities and urban infrastructure covering sectors like water, wastewater, solid waste management, urban transportation, green cities, river redevelopment, etc. in the South Asia region covering countries of India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, etc. During his tenure in IFC, Mohit has been able to contribute significantly to the advisory, upstream and investment projects.Mohit has been Task Team Leader (TTL) in IFC for upstream advisory engagements with public and private clients. Mohit is leading upstream engagements with central government ministries, city governments and private players for projects in urban sector. Mohit has been Transaction Leader for investment mandates for sub-national financing on commercial basis to two cities for projects in water supply and waste water sectors.Prior to joining IFC, Mohit was working as a Director in the Infrastructure and Public Finance Practice of CRISIL Infrastructure Advisory. He has led over 100 consulting engagements, as Project Director/Team Leader in 14 years in CRISIL. Mohit has strong domain expertise across a range of urban sectors and services and has led projects in India under flagship urban missions like JnNURM, Smart City, Swachh Bharat and AMRUT.Mohit has experience of working on projects in real sectors in over 10 countries in Asia and Africa. Mohit has worked on projects related to public private partnership, model bidding documents, feasibility studies, transaction advisory, due diligence, urban sector reforms, smart cities, sector studies, value capture financing tools, infrastructure funds, capacity building, etc. Mohit has strong domain expertise across a range of real sectors including waste water, water supply, solid waste management, aordable housing, industrial clusters, skill development, health, education, municipal markets, real estate, bus terminals, special economic zones and financial services.
