ABOUT MIHALI KOUROS

I\'m Mihali, and here are four things to know about me:1. I\'ve never once stuck to a job description. If I can help, why not, right? And if I can\'t help, maybe I can learn something. Much more interesting than checking boxes all day.2. I read as much as I can, all the time. News, marketing blogs, tech reviews, sci-fi, fantasy, Swedish kids books (a handy way to start learning a language). A great way to stay informed, and an even better way to ABC - Always Be Constantly-improving-my-copywriting!3. My entire career in marketing is an accident of meeting the right people at the right time. 20-year-old Mihali\'s summer gig as a promo boy in Adelaide came from helping out a mate who couldn\'t make it to his shift. Doing the same job in Melbourne, I had a shift with a guy working at a global media agency, which led to an opportunity to learn paid search there. My move into paid social came from sitting next to an agency Head of Social while watching the Superbowl on a Monday morning. Even my most recent jobs came from a lot of luck - a recruiter approaching my wife, who referred them to me as she wasn\'t interested in changing jobs. Don\'t get me wrong - I know my stuff inside and out - but there has always been luck involved!4. My favourite thing about my jobs has always been the team I\'ve been a part of. Some people get energy from coffee, some from seeing their paycheck, some from being at the bleeding edge of their field - for me, it has always come from surrounding myself with the best people and shamelessly sponging as much knowledge as I can from them while annoying them with terrible jokes.I would love to write more here but I have to take the boys to preschool, so I suppose this will have to do. If you want to learn more - flick me a message or send me a connection request!
