Although formally named as chairman of the board, in the summer of 2014 I was tasked by the owners and the board with additionally management responsibility for overall operational oversight on a transitional basis. That status continued until we made improvements in our corporate culture and business accountability processes which succeeded in marked improvements in our capabilities and our customers\' experiences.
