Effectively managed a department of 30 staff, 70 represented and contactors distributed between routine maintenance and turnarounds. Responsible for a $47MM OPEX budget,$20MM MAFE budget, and a $100 MM Capital budget and solving the entire sites cost overrun. Increased knowledge of journaling, reclassing, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Develop tools to communicate health of our maintenance programs and improve controls for cost and schedule tracking. Created a monthly KPI report to help drive decisions for headcount management, rolled out P6 for routine maintenance scheduling. Leverage computerized Maintenance management Systems (CMMS) SAP and Highlights – Employ Time on Tools (TOT) and Day in Life Of (DILO) to enhance operations. – Successfully executed the transition of an embedded mechanical contractor to a new corporate alliance mechanical contractor within 30 days. Resulted in 100% retention of contractor leadership and employees, increased Time on Tools, and 13% savings. – Led department reorganization by creating a Non-Routine Maintenance (NRM) section, leveraging staff from the routine and T/A departments and incrementally increasing contractors and eliminating additional overhead; completed a ~20MM portfolio of work. – Executive sponsor for the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion council. Leveraged a DEI consulting company to assist in chartering the site DEI program, developing a roadmap to identify the top 3 DEI challenges for the site, and providing tools to capture data used to establish 2023 DEI priorities. – Created a T/A dashboard leveraging Microsoft products to improve progress transparency. – Participated in 2022 IBEW and USW contract negotiations. Increased my knowledge in Collective Bargaining Agreements. – Increased knowledge on California building trade unions falling under Senate Bill 54.
