About Michael Madden

Michael started his career at his family-owned business, the Madden Corporation and Island Heritage, a Hawaiian Island-based publishing and product development company. Eager to learn more, Michael moved to Hong Kong to manage the manufacturing and development arm of the business. He later became the COO, managing the company’s 150-member team. During his years in the publishing industry, Michael has developed, bought, and sold a variety of small businesses while developing his own entrepreneurial leadership style. He has the willingness to take creative risks, is unafraid to institute necessary change and finds outside-of-the-box solutions to challenges, with the goal of inspiring development of an amazing product and sustainable organizational growth. Michael worked with Insight Editions for nearly 20 years and developed successful publishing campaigns for entertainment giants such as Sony Pictures, Fox, Lucas Films, Quincy Jones, Suze Orman, and James Cameron. A 20 year resident of Yountville, California, Michael also has held the roles of executive director and board member at the Napa Valley Performing Arts Center at Lincoln Theater. Michael is getting ready to launch his biggest venture yet. In April, Michael will reopen the Historic Calistoga Depot. With four restaurants, three bars, and the coolest hangout in the Napa Valley, with the plan to host live musical events every weekend, The Calistoga Depot is where you will find Michael in 2024.
