Supervision and Team Management:• Oversee site supervisors and ensure tasks are assigned properly.• Monitor work progress and ensure repairs meet quality and safety standards, liaising with the technical team.Safety & Compliance:• Promote a safe working culture. • Always seeking quality assurance with continuous safety improvements. • Ensuring technicians are compliant of their safety, safety briefs, toolbox talks and site inductions.• Enforce safety procedures for working at heights and handling of hazardous materials.• Ensure proper use of PPE and review of Risk Assessments, Method Statements and toolbox talks. • Ensure Compliance with GWO, Company Regs and Construction Phase Plans.Reporting & Documentation:• Perform site audits and safety checks.• Report any incidents, defects and delays early to Project Managers. • Review and approve/reject project DPRs in a timely manner.Equipment & Tool Management:• Ensure all Kit and equipment are in a working condition.• Coordinate maintenance and calibration of inspections kit and devices.• Ensure supply chain and support process of materials and request of restock and resupply as needed.Coordination of Stakeholders:• Constant updates to Stores and Logistics Manager.• Provide regular status updates to Lead Project Manager & Project Managers. Fleet Management:• Manage daily allocation and utilisation of fleet vehicles to ensure operational readiness and support field project requirements.• Oversee vehicle maintenances schedules, inspections and servicing to ensure compliance with safety standards. • Monitor fleet performance, mileage and fuel usage to optimise efficiency and minimise downtime. • Coordinate and liaise with Project Managers to ensure timely deployment and availability of vehicles and equipment for site operations. • Maintain accurate fleet records, including maintenance logs, driver assignments and incident reporting.

ABOUT MICHAEL DOWD
I am an ambitious, flexible and motivated individual with an excellent set of transferable skills I have developed over nearly 20 years within Civil Engineering and the UK Armed Forces- I have contributed to the design, planning and execution of various transport infrastructure projects across the North West region. I utilised advanced CAD software to produce precise technical drawings, ensuring they met different regulatory standard acts. I co-ordinated with stakeholders and managed budgets with City Councils and external stakeholders holders and ensured timelines were met when delivering these projects. My proactive problem-solving skills and high attention to detail helped workflows and the delivery of project’s which contributed to the improvement of the publics transportation services- I was responsible for managing the overseas shipment and maintenance of high-value equipment and armoured vehicle platforms that required a lot of mechanical engineering attention ensuring their readiness for deployment whilst having other critical military assets that ensure we achieved our mission. Whilst doing this I had the privilege to lead over 30 colleagues in the UK and overseas, whilst conducting operations and deployments within the Royal Marines.🥾- As a problem solver, team leader, project manager, effective planning and co-ordinating solutions in difficult and complex environments lets me achieve positive and effective outcomes- Constant exposure to working in diverse culture’s has developed an understanding of how to find solutions whilst being sympathetic to cultural differences- I have huge interest in many activities such as Football and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I have trained martial arts for over 12 years and I also enjoy any outdoor activity, such as running, cycling, hiking or mountaineering.
