ABOUT MICAH SAGEBIEL
I currently lead a national team providing strategic advisory services to leading U.S. philanthropists.Over the past decade, I worked in venture philanthropy as a creative problem solver for a family office. I managed portfolios of U.S-based investments working with 100+ non-profit, for-profit, and governmental organizations. Through this work I served on the Board of Directors or Advisory Boards of national and regional non-profits, for-profit companies, and an early-stage venture capital fund. I started my career in Texas with a focus on a personal area of passion – providing an excellent education for all students. Out of college I worked as a public-school teacher via Teach for America in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas and then helped lead a statewide high school reform initiative with the Texas High School Project.I hold an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, an MPA from the University of Texas at Austin, and a BA from Colgate University. At Dartmouth, I served as a graduate fellow at both the Center for Private Equity and Venture Capital and the Nelson A. Rockefeller Center for Public Policy. I am a seventh-generation Texan and spend my personal time with my wife and three children exploring the natural wonders of our home state.
