View department →

I bring together diverse stakeholders across the health sector to guide the development and implementation of comprehensive frameworks and standards for responsible AI in health. My work involves spearheading the creation of consensus-driven frameworks for development, procurement, testing, validation, and implementation of the entire AI system such that it aligns with industry best practices, as well as clinical, regulatory, and ethical standards. To do this, I build partnerships and foster multi-stakeholder collaboration/learning with the goal of ensuring that adopting AI solutions safely and responsibly is accessible for all.

ABOUT MERAGE GHANE

I aim to make translational and tangible contributions to the world in service of greater mental, physical, and social health. Part of what makes problems in these spaces challenging is that similar behaviors may have different underlying causes, meaning that one solution may not be effective for all. Conversely, the same underlying cause/context, may lead to different outcomes due to individual differences in how humans perceive, experience, and interpret their environment. I have a diverse and highly relevant set of skills and experiences to support innovation and problem solving in this space. I am broadly interested in applying behavioral and decision science, neuroscience, and computational methods towards identifying individual differences in how and why people behave as they do, and ways we can use this information to encourage a healthier and happier society.
