ABOUT MELANY WEENING P.
Dr. Melany Puglisi is the founding partner of Maritime Artists, a Literary and Talent Management Company based in Los Angeles, CA. She is the retired Director of Interprofessional Education and Full Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Chicago State University. Dr. Puglisi received multiple Teacher of the Year Awards between 2016 and 2024 and Faculty Preceptor of the Year Award in 2018. She served on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Natural Products for eight years. She is the lead editor of the book Chemical Ecology: The Ecological Impacts of Marine Natural Products (CRC Press). She continues to be an active member of the American Society of Pharmacognosy and organized the 2019 Annual Meeting in Madison, WI and the 2025 Annual Meeting in Grand Rapids, MI. She continues her involvement in science producing educational films highlighting the accomplishments and discoveries of leading scientists.
