ABOUT DIMA AWAD

Dima Awad, PharmD, MS, is a strategic healthcare executive and Senior Vice President of Integrated Solutions at Coker, where she leads the Clinical Enterprise and Pharmacy Advisory Services within Performance Transformation. With more than 25 years of global healthcare leadership experience, Dr. Awad partners with executive teams to deliver sustainable operational and financial improvement across complex care environments. Her expertise spans healthcare administration, regulatory agencies, consulting, education, research, performance improvement, project management, and vendor and key opinion leader relationship management, with leadership roles across healthcare operations, clinical services, information technology, regulatory compliance, quality, and safety. She brings a strong background in contract negotiations, medication acquisition, supply chain operations, strategic planning, budgeting, revenue, and reimbursement, and is known for translating strategy into execution to build scalable, high-performing clinical enterprises. Dr. Awad earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from University of Monastir, Master of Science in Pharmacology from the University of Montreal and holds numerous professional certifications, including healthcare automation from Omnicell, healthcare executive business education from the Quinlan School of Business at Loyola University Chicago, patient safety from Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, and advanced medication safety training through American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and the Institute for Safe Medication Practices. Previously, she served in senior executive roles across academic and community health systems and in a leadership capacity at The Joint Commission, helping shape clinical standards and survey methods used worldwide. A nationally respected thought leader and multilingual mentor, Dr. Awad is deeply committed to patient safety and quality of care; her humanitarian work includes building the first post-earthquake pharmacy in Haiti and leading vaccination campaigns and clinical and educational programs, recognized by the University of Chicago Humanitarian Recognition Award and the Institute of Medicine of Chicago Award.
