ABOUT MELISSA CUPPLES
I\'m a systems thinker and problem solver at heart who thrives when learning, laughing and collaborating in high performing teams. My experience is varied and includes over 20 years working across start-ups, corporates & the NFP sector in the areas of executive/senior management, strategy & planning, product, technology, and analytics. I had longed dreamed of pivoting from product leader to engineer, and in 2020 I took the leap and combined maternity leave with a return to tertiary study in order to focus more exclusively on my passion for maths, data science, AI and engineering. I completed a Graduate Certificate of Artificial Intelligence at Deakin University and am currently completing a Graduate Diploma of Computer Science at Melbourne University (June 2025 completion). I have now been working as a full stack software engineer since 2023, blending my commercial and customer first mindset with deep technical skills.
