ABOUT MATTHEW BINKLEY

I currently work for General Dynamics Electric Boat (EB) As a Senior Program Representative in Special Projects Program. I did work for 5 years in Sonar Engineering at EB. I currently process schedules, engineering and workflow for Research and Development projects. I manage tasks containing sub contractors within the special project program. I retired from the US. Navy after 20 years of faithful service on November 14th 2014. I currently have a Bachelor\'s in IT Management.I have 20 years of experience with the US Navy. I have Virginia Submarine Class Combat Systems and Architecture experience. I have AN/BQQ-10 APB-11 TI-12 (Submarine Sonar) AN/BQQ-5 and AN/BSY-1 experience. I have experience with Sonar Equipment such as AI & R, WLR-9, WLY-1, AN/BQH-5, AN/BQH-9, LWAA TB-16/23/29 thin line arrays and WSQ-9. I worked with LINUX Redhat and Solaris 8 programs as well as Windows. I am qualified Quality Assurance Work Center Supervisor, Craftsman, Planner as well as Controlled Material Custodian. I am also a 3M Assistant working with Preventative Maintenance scheduling on the SKED program. I worked with job scheduling programs such as OHMS-NG, WISP and SOMS. I am certified as a Lean Six Sigma Lean Champion through the US Navy. I have worked on Lean processes that reduced extra test equipment and parts in return produced more productivity and money saving techniques. I have the following Journeyman certifications; Internetworking Technician, Electronics Tester and Computer peripheral Equipment Operator via the United States Apprenticeship Program. I currently assist the Command Security Manager with sailors\' security clearances, visitation requests and briefing and debriefings as the Command Security Assistant. I have the title of Security Manager via NCIS training through the Navy. I am also the Command Career Counselor. I am a member of the Connecticut Blue Lodge Freemasons. My lodge is Somerset St. James # 34 in Preston. I am a member of the Valley of Norwich Consistory and the Sphinx Shrine. I volunteer at my children\'s school as well as mentoring.
