About Matthew Kuntz

With over 10 years of work experience in various health and safety roles, I am a passionate and dedicated professional who strives to improve the safety performance and culture of organizations. I have a degree in Occupational Safety and Health, and I hold the Associate Safety Professional (ASP) and Certified Environmental and Safety Compliance Officer (CESCO) certifications. I am currently a Regional Health and Safety Specialist at Imerys, the world leader in mineral-based specialty solutions for industry. As a Regional Health and Safety Specialist, I partner with the Southeast Region\'s leadership and operations teams to develop, implement, and monitor the health and safety management system, policies, and programs. I conduct risk assessments, audits, inspections, investigations, and training to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Imerys\' standards and best practices. I also support the continuous improvement of safety performance and culture by engaging with employees, contractors, and stakeholders, and by providing feedback, coaching, and recognition. Some of the skills that I use in my role are workplace safety, safety management systems, and risk assessment.
