Provided oversight in operation and maintenance (O&M) of five (5) sites in long term remediation for petroleum, oils, and lubricants (POL) contamination for the Navy. Tasked with evaluating the risk for vapor intrusion into occupied buildings in the vicinity of active remediation systems. Managed weekly, monthly, and quarterly indoor vapor monitoring at the breathing-zone level. Provided oversight during collection of photoionization detector (PID) readings from various SVE and AS lines, biosparge wells, and effluent stacks. Collected groundwater samples, analyzed data, and wrote Annual Monitoring Reports provided to the client. Provided oversight of operational and maintenance of Vapor Intrusion Mitigation Systems (VIMS) at select buildings to maintain design parameters. Sample data was compared to NCDEQ VISLs and the status of the VIMS are included in monthly technical memorandums. Recommendations for additional VI monitoring, investigations, and mitigations was included in each sites’ AMR and implemented once approved by NCDEQ.
