Martin C Gutierrez

Director of Government Affairs @San Antonio Board Of Realtors

San Antonio, TX, US

As the Director of Government Affairs at the San Antonio Board of Realtors, I advocate for legislation that safeguards private property rights and promotes access to the American Dream of homeownership. In this capacity, I serve as the main point of contact for the Governmental Affairs and TREPAC Committees, collaborating closely with volunteer committee leadership to foster strong relationships and track real estate-related public policy affecting SABOR\'s members. I attend pertinent meetings to stay informed and ensure timely dissemination of relevant information to association members and various committees. Acting as a liaison between SABOR and local governing bodies, I cultivate effective working relationships with elected officials, staff, and other stakeholders, incorporating volunteer leadership into these connections. Identifying collaborative opportunities with trade associations, interest groups, and community entities is also a crucial aspect of my role. Additionally, I oversee the day-to-day administration of SABOR\'s fundraising efforts for the Texas Association of REALTORS® Political Action Committee (TREPAC), motivating and mobilizing member volunteers to support our public policy and fundraising goals. Conducting visits with real estate offices, I promote the Texas Association of REALTORS® Political Action Committee and SABOR’s grassroots political activities. Ultimately, I am responsible for executing the annual Advocacy business plan, ensuring it operates within the approved budget and aligns with SABOR policies.
