Advanced the Florida partnership strategy by securing ten new partnerships that are critical to the strategic growth of tertiary and quaternary care services at Nemours Children’s Hospital (NCH); driving a 70% increase in referrals to NCH overall and nearly tripling the referrals to the neonatal intensive care service with a 190% increase. Positioned Nemours in Florida markets to reach up to 3 million of the 4 million children in Florida-Expanded the specialty providers in Orlando resulting in 95% increase in NCH census and 52% growth in surgical cases. Execution of Florida’s growth and distribution strategy resulted in all-time highs surpassing patient encounters-Launched game changing programs to include partnership with Cleveland Clinic, development of the Nemours Fetal Care Center, Cardiac Distribution Strategy, partnership with The Andrews Institute and The USTA to support growth of the Nemours sports medicine service. Launched statewide clinically integrated orthopedic strategy. Expanded interventional radiology services to Jacksonville, positioning Nemours as the largest pediatric IR service in the US. Launched state-wide strategy for hematology oncology services, neurosciences services positioning Nemours as the largest pediatric program in Florida-Strengthened tertiary and quaternary programs and referrals from partner hospitals driving 20% year over year increase in case mix index-Thought leader for strategic and operational improvements in Florida. Strengthened the infrastructure and processes towards the development of an integrated Nemours Health System in Florida by creating infrastructure for business analytics to inform strategic growth and investment decisions. Launched formal service line and clinical program planning. Initiated formal efforts toward state-wide physician alignment and integration. Established the Florida Executive Strategy Forum to guide strategic direction, investments and decision making.
