ABOUT MARKUS DIERSBOCK

Originally from Orange County, California, Markus wrote his first software program at age 12, on the classic APPLE ][+. In 8th grade he started his first business: selling divers watches to surfers during lunch and recess. The business was a success, but was later shut down by the school principle, due to the school not being zoned for “commercial purposes”. As a university student, he managed membership revenue for the exclusive Coto de Caza Country Club, and ran a side business teaching executives WordPerfect, Lotus 1-2-3, and MSDOS. In 1993 Markus founded ComputerMedics in Tempe, Arizona, which focused on network deployment, remote support, and custom application development. ComputerMedics supported a wide range of clients from startups to the FORTUNE 500, including Merrill Lynch and SmithBarney, and was later sold. In 1995 AirTouch (Verizon Cellular) used \"PageButler for Windows\", an alphanumeric pager application he created. In 1997 Markus moved to Marblehead, Massachusetts, and held software consulting positions with MITRE Corporation, Ziff-Davis, Evergreen Funds, and BIOGEN. He created and ran iDrop.com in 1998, the first web filestorage site, 1 year before xDrive (AOL) and Driveway (Microsoft), and 7 years before DropBox. Markus was a co-founder of SwingNote in 2002 and Yesloop in 2016. Markus has appeared on television news programs, newspapers, and in magazine articles focusing on technology in business. He\'s an avid runner, deep scuba diver, skier, and started playing tennis again.
