Recruit and schedule a team of over 500 officials per week to cover all league play for 128 locations in 14 states-Work with both marketing and human resource departments to come up with ways to attract new talent-Onboard and process weekly payments for all officials through Arbiter Sports and Arbiter Pay-Act as a liaison with local assigners to ensure quality and consistency among officials-Train each official who takes the field so that they have a solid working understanding of the interpretation of the rules and how to enforce and implement them-Create training manuals and programs to help officials during game play-Communicate weekly with officials to ensure they know where and what time to be at the fields-Address any issues that the officials may have had over the weekend with directors, coaches, or parents-Evaluate the performance of officials through surveys and on-site performance-Work to retain and motivate officials from season to season. Consistency is one of the major quality issues that is addressed through retention-Create a disciplinary action form and a zero-tolerance policy that not only addresses poor performance from officials but also a lack of respect for both coaches, parents, and players when addressing officials-Motivate and inspire a crew of officials to want to work in their community making a difference in the lives of youth-Create materials to help educate both parents and coaching on the rules of the game, philosophy of the role of officials, and discipline for challenging these concepts-Host rules presentations for coach, officials, and parent meetings.
