Mark is one of the pioneers in the CFO and Controllership professional services industry having launched his practice in 2001. Today, he teaches CEOs and CFOs critical financial leadership and management concepts so that they can continue to grow and prosper in times of adversity, transition, and renewal. He is also the host of the CFO Bookshelf podcast.Brief HistoryI obtained my CPA certification after joining KPMG Peat Marwick (St. Louis). After a stint at McGladrey & Pullen (now RSM), I spent nearly 10 years working for the greatest family-owned operation based in North Central Missouri. There, I worked in several management roles, including internal audit, corporate finance,(IT) project management, and accounting as a controller.In 2001, I elected to become a Free Agent CFO™, allowing me to serve multiple clients anytime. Today, I spend most of my time helping and supporting CEOs and their CFOs to grow in their capabilities and their financial leadership and management practices.I am also the host of the global podcast CFO Bookshelf, which is for business leaders focused on lifelong learning.
