ABOUT MARIO THAQI
Mario Mark Thaqi is a junior student currently majoring in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics with a minor in Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. On campus, Mario is the Chair of the Finance Committee for Central Student Government and a consultant at Michigan Political Consulting. Mario graduated from Sterling Heights High School and the Macomb Mathematics Science Technology Center in 2021 and interned for the U.S. House of Representatives the following summer. He also worked as a Political Director for his Congresswoman\'s re-election campaign during the 2022 midterm cycle. Recently, Mario studied Arabic and worked as a consultant intern for Leading Point, a management consulting firm, in Amman, Jordan on study abroad. Mario\'s career aspirations include political and management consulting. He is a driven first-generation college student looking to influence the world for the better. Mario was elected in August 2022 to be the Precinct Delegate for the 6th Precinct in the city of Sterling Heights, Michigan. Interests: Learning Arabic, playing Alto Saxophone, and traveling.
