ABOUT MARILYN BALLUTA

With a commitment to Alaska\'s cultural heritage, my role as program coordinator at the Alaska Native Heritage Center focuses on fostering community connections for a traditional healing approach to address social determinants of health, specifically, Alaska Native/Native American women community. Our team has successfully engaged audiences on Alaska Native traditions and enhancing cultural exchange, understanding and reconnection. Previously, as Project Coordinator at Knik Tribal Council, I led initiatives to research and present on Upper Inlet Dena’ina history, culture, and language, achieving meaningful dialogue and educational outreach in the Mat-Su area. My expertise in social networking, presentations, and communication has been pivotal in these endeavors, contributing to the revitalization and appreciation of Upper Inlet Dena’ina and in general Alaska Native heritage.
