ABOUT MARIE-LAURE FAUCONNIER

The Laboratory of Chemistry of Natural Molecules (formerly the General and Organic Chemistry Unit) has been studying for many years the extraction, purification, characterization and valorization of plant secondary metabolites for applications in the fields of agronomy or food industries. Two classes of compounds are particularly studied: volatile organic compounds via volatolomics (aromas, perfumes, essential oils.) and phyto-oxylipins (jasmonates, arabidopsides, green leafy volatile.).Fundamental and applied research projects carried out in Belgium and in the South contribute to the reputation of the Laboratory of Chemistry of Natural Molecules.
