About Mariah Czap

I’m currently the Co-General Manager and Head of Digital at Yep Roc Records, where I oversee the day to day operations of the label and direct worldwide marketing campaigns for our artist roster. In my 11+ years at the label, I’ve had the privilege of project managing and leading digital strategy on projects for Watchhouse (formerly known as Mandolin Orange), Robyn Hitchcock, Born Ruffians, Jenny Owen Youngs, Blitzen Trapper and Michaela Anne, among others. Serving the independent music community is also an important part of my professional life. I currently sit on the Board of Folk Alliance International, an international arts nonprofit that works to keep the tradition of folk music thriving through preservation, presentation, and promotion. I previously served for 4 years on the Board of the American Association of Independent Music (A2IM), whose mission is to promote growth, awareness and opportunities for independent music through advocacy, education and community.Through my previous work experience at an independent label, I bring with me strong communication and interpersonal skills. As a leader within my current company, I have been dedicated to creating an environment that encourages diversity, inclusivity, empathy, and most of all a focus on creativity and support for the artists and the music we have the privilege of introducing to the world.I’m an analytical thinker who enjoys both collaborating with a team when working towards a shared goal as well as working independently. I pride myself on being detail oriented and organized and have experience creating and implementing standard operating procedures and processes. I hold a Yellow Belt Certification in the Lean Six Sigma methodology.
