ABOUT MARIA-NIKI MYLONAKOU
As Clinical Operations & Project Manager, and Clinical Supply Manager for several years in biotech running clinical trials in multiple countries testing oncological drugs, I both plugged-in & played in a small team of highly competent and highly driven people, and delivered in a larger team in a larger company. In the center of operations has been anticipating, predicting and managing uncertainty, while not compromising the quality of the deliveries in a timely manner, as well as managing tasks and building relations with various entities/vendors across different countries & cultures. I gained rounded operational, regulatory and clinical experience and evolve my mindset.During my PhD and postdoc I gained significant project management experience. I am formally qualified in Project Management and hold PRINCE2 Foundation certification.I\'ve had the privilege to work with charismatic supervisors/managers, focusing on high quality research/work and encouraging personal development. Accessing their vast network enabled me to have a Nobel Laureate as one of my advisors. I have been in collaborative projects with groups at Karolinska Institute and the KTH in Stockholm, Lund University, the Pannum Institute in Copenhagen, the Bologna University in Italy and the John Hopkins University in the USA. In clinical trials I have experience with vendors in APAC, US, EU, UK, NO and Switzerland. I have been running multiple parallel projects, thus I am accustomed to juggling multiple tasks, such as coordinating various people or train new students and perform high quality experiments. I have been equipped with equal amounts of patience and determination, seeing things through. I jump into projects that I feel passionate about and can influence / inspire others to follow: I organised and led an unofficial political campaign for the Dean elections in University of Oslo, resulting in record student attendance: the candidate I supported received over 60% of the student vote, together with over 65% of the staff’s vote.I have participated in one and have been the fixer for a second television program for NRK (Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation).I have produced numerous academic publications. More importantly, I have acquired networking skills and grown competences related to people, science, management and organisation. Did I mention I have had a lot of fun?I like to keep growing and develop further.I am interested in the pharmaceutical industry, clinical/preclinical operations and project management, life science applications, consulting and broader challenges.
