As the Global Head of Sustainability I spearhead our enterprise-wide sustainability strategy for Mars Veterinary Health, driving sustainability initiatives across five hospital brands encompassing veterinary hospitals and associates across 20+ countries. I lead an extended team of five and partner with executive and functional leaders to develop and operationalize strategies that reduce our environmental impacts across key topics of climate change, waste, and pharmaceutical stewardship. I coordinate our quarterly and annual reporting on performance and engage senior leaders to drive continued improvement across our KPIs. As a key enabler of success, I champion a culture of sustainability by developing internal engagement campaigns, executive communications, and thought leadership that embed sustainability into business operations.I also serve as the external ambassador for Mars Veterinary Health’s sustainability efforts, representing the organization at industry forums and partnerships to accelerate sustainable practices in the veterinary industry.Successes to date include decoupling our GHG emissions from business growth, achieving a >50% reduction in emissions per pet visit, and piloting innovative recycling and reuse programs that, in the first year alone, diverted over pet food packs from landfill and prevented 80 tons of waste.
