ABOUT MARGARETH FABÍOLA S. CARNEIRO

I am the only Latin-American woman to have served on the PMI Board of Directors, to serve on the Agile Alliance Board of Directors, and to receive the PMI Fellow Award — the highest distinction granted by PMI. I served two terms on the PMI Board (six years) and currently serve as a Director at Agile Alliance, contributing to the evolution of global project management and agility communities. With more than three decades of leadership experience, I specialize in strategic portfolio and program management, PMO implementation, and hybrid management approaches that integrate predictive, agile, and governance frameworks. I have led the implementation of eight PMOs and most recently structured a Central PMO and PMO Network overseeing more than 500 projects across Brazil. Since I have been an active PMI volunteer and recipient of four PMI Awards, including recognition as one of the 25 Most Influential Women in Project Management (PMNetwork, 2006). I have trained over professionals and authored and co-authored eight books. My academic background includes a Master’s in Knowledge Management and a Doctorate focused on Corporate Governance and Results-Based Management in the Public Sector. My mission is to strengthen the project management profession globally — elevating it from operational delivery to strategic value generation. I empower leaders and organizations to navigate complexity with versatility, governance maturity, and measurable impact. I am equally committed to inspiring women to think bigger, lead boldly, and pursue global impact without limitations.
