ABOUT MARCO SCANU

I came to the U.S. under an O-1 visa in entrepreneurship. With an extensive background in the hospitality sector, my firm provides business consulting, immigration and investor business plans, and business coaching. Since 2009, my firm, Visa Business Plans, has allowed me to leverage my 30+ years of experience as an entrepreneur while giving me the satisfaction of helping others achieve their goals. As an immigrant, I understand what it means to start from zero in a foreign country to pursue the dream of living in the U.S. I come from a family of entrepreneurs. From my mother, an MD, I learned the “old school” approach to solving problems by dissecting them to find their root cause. From my father’s tourism businesses, I learned the art of white-glove customer service. These teachings formed a huge part of my perspective when I left everything behind to explore a new life in the U.S. My risky move paid off. What started in a $10 Ikea desk located in the corner of my living room is currently an organization that employs 15+ and helps thousands achieve their dreams of living in the best country in the world. Through my experience as a college professor in entrepreneurship, my tenure as the Honorary Consul of Italy, and my expertise starting and growing award-winning companies, our clients receive well-rounded advice that is key for them to reach their investment or immigration goals.
