Build and maintain strategic relationships with local, state, and national employers through virtual meetings, on-site visits, and career events to align hiring needs with student opportunities- Embed diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) principles into all employer engagement activities to ensure equitable access to career opportunities for all students- Plan and coordinate career events, from small networking sessions to large-scale fairs, facilitating meaningful employer-student interactions and expanding job access- Deliver presentations to student organizations and classes on career readiness topics such as job search strategies, Handshake usage, and employment trends- Collaborate with Twin Ports Employer Engagement teams to strengthen connections between the university and regional employers- Support students in developing career readiness competencies, including internships, job application materials, employment trends, and professional development, through individual meetings, workshops, and group sessions- Analyze and share career-related data with UMD faculty, staff, and employers to improve career services and better align student and employer needs- Serve as a Handshake expert, guiding employers and students to optimize the platform for job postings and searches
