ABOUT LUCIANO CAMILOT

Starting a new life and career in New Zealand, I bring over 16 years of experience in electrical engineering and project management. My career has been built around strategic planning, process optimisation, and leading multidisciplinary teams.I have managed projects in renewable energy, logistics, and industrial automation, always focused on aligning innovation with real, measurable impact. In Brazil, I led solar and energy efficiency projects recognised nationally for their innovation and results, such as:• Organisational Change – 2021: Led digital and process integration across four logistics branches, achieving 98% employee satisfaction and a 40% financial improvement.• Low Carbon Business Action in Brazil – 2017 (EU Program): Developed a sustainable production system for agriculture in partnership with European and Brazilian companies.• Energy Efficiency Highlight Awards – 2014 & 2015: Projects recognised by the Brazilian Congress on Energy Efficiency for their measurable results in corporate sustainability. After more than a decade managing these initiatives, I decided to embrace a new challenge abroad. In New Zealand, I have been deepening my technical understanding of the solar industry and exploring how innovation, collaboration, and empathy can shape more sustainable and human-centred organisations.Currently completing a Master of Management, I am expanding my perspective on leadership and organisational behaviour while integrating my engineering background into New Zealand’s renewable energy environment.Over the years, I have learned to respect people’s individuality and to understand that everyone has their own pace, background, and way of learning. Living in such a multicultural country has strengthened my appreciation for these differences and the importance of keeping an open mind in every interaction. In recent years, I have also become deeply interested in spirituality, meditation, and energy practices such as Reiki. These have helped me develop focus, empathy, and balance, qualities that I bring into my personal and professional life.Outside of work, I am passionate about sports, especially running, cycling, and triathlon.I enjoy competing in endurance events such as the Ironman and love studying the science and performance aspects behind high-performance training.
