ABOUT LORIE GRABHAM

An American Airline’s Technical Operations Information Technology (IT) Leader with 20+ years of combined airline experience after 2 mergers (America West, US Airways, American Airlines). I oversee the development of business technologies and reporting solutions supporting aircraft Maintenance and Engineering operations.Hit by the “aviation bug” since my very early childhood, I proceeded to graduate from the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a B.S. in Aerospace Studies. I later became interested in uncrewed systems and worked towards completing a Masters program for Unmanned Systems Engineering. My passion and fascination for unmanned systems extends beyond my airline involvement where I am driving UAS innovation for maintenance engineering. A certified Part 107 remote pilot for unmanned systems, I have been involved in work and research focused on UAS integration earning a feature in the 2017 “Women and Drones” review. Current chapter leader for the Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) Saguaro Chapter connecting industry, academia and legislature to promote reliable, safe and professional drone use and deployment in the industry and being honored Chapter of the Year 2019. Above all, a fervent Mentor for STEAM, especially in middle schools and support of multiple technology and drone clubs. In addition to being a mother to my daughters, I serve as an Advisory Board Member of Aerospace Arizona Association and a pillar of the Arizona UAS Summit organization committee.
