After 15 years in international news, I make power structures digestible to humans on the daily. I lead the team making The Take, Al Jazeera\'s award-winning news podcast. We publish seven days a week in video and audio, the first daily news podcast to pivot to video. Our work has been recognized by the Online Journalism Awards, the Gracie, Ambie, Signal, and Webby awards, and in Al Jazeera Digital\'s 2023 Edward R. Morrow award for breaking news coverage.Following my start in Washington with The Stream, the Emmy-nominated live current affairs program, my work was sought out in newsrooms in Kuala Lumpur and Istanbul. I\'ve interviewed and edited people from more than 50 countries across all borders and walks of life.
