I am working with the New Zealand Police to provide the external reporting for this government organisation which includes the Annual Report. As this is a Team Leader position, I work on the CFIS reporting, baseline updates and forecast tracks are submitted to Treasury. I can lead the preparation of the year-end Financial Statements, notes to the accounts and forecast financial statements.In terms of banking, I am the administrator for the bank ensuring the payments, which also include direct debit top-ups, are approved with the appropriate documentation. I also regularly update the cashflow forecast and subsequently submit the Cash funding to Treasury.I am also the administrator for the Inland Revenue ensuring that all NZ Police’s taxes are paid accurately and on time for the following: GST, WHT and FBT.In terms of Official Information Act, Select Committee and Parliamentary questions. I have coordinated and submitted to key pieces of auditable practices for the Contractors and Consultancy and General Ledger reconciliations. These knowledge base articles are now published on the Intranet for the wider Finance teams.I have also had the opportunity to act in the role of Manager – Financial and External Reporting for two weeks where I managed the month end process and staff during this period. It also included meeting with the CFO and the Finance Leadership Team.Skills required for this role:• Team Management Skills* Working Knowledge of current IFRS practices• Auditable Policies and Procedures
